do you suffer from LNS
LNS or loose nuts syndrome is a condition that often arises after a clean burn, pizza making at high temp or just repeated use. it can lead to even more serious conditions such as slippedbanditis and even the fatal broken dome disease.
the backyard cooking season is upon us. take a moment and a 1/2 inch open end wrench [for the large] and check your bands and tighten your nuts, remembering the bolts should bend.

Thanks for the heads up.
I never did the dollar test; yet loosened the big bent screw on my XL to get rid of the leaks; which worked. I obviously now need to go back and fix my LNS...

yes i am
truth be told my dome almost slipped off while moving the egg a few weeks ago . i repositioned the bands and tightened , i did a long hot clean burn yesterday and this morning i noticed the band had moved a bit .. -

Here is what happened when I put a small amount of pressure on my upper band bolt a couple of weeks ago..
the bolt had rust and corrosion almost all the way through... it was an accident looking for a place to happen...
