Hot Dog Chili-Who needs it?!

Pearl Dogs tonight! Yes, plural. I had TWO 1/4 lb Pearl dogs tonight. :blush:

Didn't realize I had run out of beef chili, but I decided that was not a problem. Had some leftover butt from last weekend. Also had a jar of BOMBA!! Mixed them together and nuked the mix to warm it up a bit. A little Gulden's Spicy Brown, a lot of Bombabutt. Dayum - them was GOOD DAWGS!!!!

Hope you enjoy the pics half as much as I enjoyed the dogs!!! :)

    How can you go wrong mixing butt, Bomba and dawgs - especially Pearls?

    Frankly, they may have been the best Pearls I've had so far. B)

    OK - two questions:

    1 - what is beer chili? recipe to share?

    2 - where can you order Pearl dogs? Are they really that much better?

    Di, I don't know anything about beer chili. But if you get a recipe, you have to let us know! :)

    As for Pearls, I think they're the best I've ever had. That's just my opinion of course, but others here seem to think highly of them too. The Pearl folks told me that they are available in some BJ's stores on the east coast, but apparently not all. If you want to order from Pearl direct, you have to call them as they don't offer online ordering. As I understand it, the minimum order is 10 lbs (should be about $48) and shipping costs as much as the franks.

    It was too early in the morning when I posted my questions! I thought you had said "beer" chili and not "beef" chili! :laugh:

    Now I have to come up with my own recipe!

    I do travel to the east coast quite often, so I'll have to look for the Pearl dogs. Thanks!

    Thanks, Ron. Yeah, once in a while it works out. First time I ever had warmed over butt that was worth eating!

    You ever get back to BJ's to see if they carry Pearls? I still haven't gotten the list of which BJ's sell their stuff. I told them if they would tell me where folks could buy, I'd spread the word.
