sellout.woot turns into a washout woot...

Stayed up late the other night and saw someone post a maverick 84 talking electronic thermometer on sellout.woot.com so I ordered one. It arrived today...and doesn't work. So, I sat down and discovered that I did not receive any paperwork with the order, or confirmation emails like you do with woot. So, since the item came in a woot.com box I turned in a request for a RMA, seeing no way to communicate to sellout.woot directly, I am hoping this works. I hate when stuff like this happens.

Tony, I had a problem with Woot in the past. It took awhile to get it back to good. Between the credit card company and them the emails stacked up good. Don't delete anything. Good luck!!

I did find out that the sellout.woot.com purchase histories are kept seperate than teh woot.com history but I used teh same acccount information to sign on so I was able to find the order number. This should be interesting, reading their blogs they don;t appear to be very responsive or even care based on their comments. Buy Cheap, Get Cheap I guess. I'm only out $21 if all else fails. Maybe they will surprise me.

Funny I ordered a Rutland gasket from amazon and it was just delivered today to the office. I was excited and didn't open the package till I got home. I got the egg ready to put the new gasket on (all cleaned up) and opened the package to fine 2 miniature whisk brooms...I about sh!t my pants...Called the company up and they said they were wondering where those went. Can you pass the dollar bill test with 2 miniature whisk brooms...they have shiny handles...lol....amazing

    Tony,

Why not skip those Wooters and go the manufacturer? I recall they have been helpful to others.

They are going to replace it per memo today with no return required. When I get it, it will probably be put up for sale for sale and I am going back to my $10 thermometer...
