Egging some delicious hamburgers and reached for my nice cold miller lite and knocked my thermapen onto the deck and it shattered in 3 pieces. Came walking into the house and the wife thought from the expression on my face that I ran over the family dog....I never really realized how I depended on that thing in just a few months. Good news, I called Thermoworks and they said they can fix it....they told me they had a refurbished splash with the same warranty for 70 bucks so I picked up an extra. We did have some really good overcooked dry hamburgers tonight tho...LOL..gotta love the Pen

I sent mine in for repairs a couple months ago and they had it back to me by the end of the week.
Super fast service.
I picked up a second one as well.

I have an "El-Cheapo" Weekend Warrior instant read from Taylor. It's close enough, just not quite as instant read as I'd like.

And yes, absolutely, I check the temp on burgers.
