Today the mailman delivered the pizza tossing kit from JoJo/Fireman in TN. Though I'm off tomorrow making a furniture buying trip to a distant community I plan to soon watch the disc, practice whatever and get the kit back on the road soon!

LOL - me "in action" with a body suit made of fresh dough - now THAT would be a sight!

  • oh, but i do believe that's one of the older original stipulations: we must see RRP tossing it (the dough) ala Pizza Prince Rod. ;)

Is the kit the single pack package? I may need to just break down and buy one. My post count is a slow climbing number :) I have learned the key to pizza dough tossing is catching it.

Not sure if it has ever been shown before so I hope I'm not breaking some secret Sicilian code by showing the picture - but here it is:

It's a 12" disc of rubbery material that almost feels like real dough and a video disc. These two items in a plastic bag along with a battle worn piece of hand written paper from Michelle who added a dough recipe along with some advice... with the best tidbit being "Wish I could be a fly on the wall for your first couple attempts!! (pee first...lol)"

How long do you need to work with it to have it mastered?

I don't have a clue - maybe someone will chime in here, but I don't intend to hang on to the kit until I do master it! In fact my real plan is to work outside so there is no ceiling concern and if I drop the first few so be it - they'll just go in the trash!

Get er in the rotation soon, if possible. It has become as scarce as hen's teeth lately. Many of us could use the experience this kit will provide, I think. Would love to hear from recent winners as to whether or not it actually helped them. Even if it didn't, I would still enter just for the excitement of winning.

yes! That tradition carries on and it appears the outer box used for mailing is rather dog-eared so it must be a classic as well!

Bruce, I didn't ever really get it as well as I would like to have. :( I tried until my neck hurt from looking up. :pinch: The video makes it look easy but I'm not that coordinated I guess.

I did find some of the tips very useful for spinning and keeping the dough in the air. :) I'll not spoil it for future recipients though.

    Ya'll have fun with it!!

sorry I called you Fireman vs. Firetruck! I have a good friend who is a retired firefighter who "did it all" and "drove it all" and "cooked it all" though the union labels got him called many things!
