Randy, AZRP, is a genius. I cooked his recipe and it is, without a doubt, the BEST chicken I've ever eaten. :P Spicy, juicy, falling off the bone out-of-this-world delicious! Randy,if you are in OKC next year, or Plano this year, your drinks are on me. Here's the LAST piece as proof. Simply incredible.

Would you mind sharing the recipe with us?

The recipe is posted on the Naked Whiz site.

Steve,
Too funny, I did it tonight as well. Ran out of time and couldn't make the sauce. Just used some Peri-Peri that I had. Just about to try it.

Lookin YUMMEE Honker!

I have yet to try that recipe, even after reading all the rave reviews. I think I must do it next weekend. Great job.
-
Thanks, Steve. I saved the recipe.
-
I predict a LOT of attempts at this cook over the next few days.
-
Glad you liked it Steve, we had it for dinner last night too. -RP

this is a great dish to take to a picnic or pot luck as the magic happens in the time after the cook when it is resting in that great sauce. packed up in the cooler it travels and stays hot.
yuppper think it is on the menu for tonight... been awhile and this stuff is just to good to wait this long!

Is Louisiana hot sauce a type of hot sauce or would Redhot work the same? Is the chicken really spicy?
-
I have cooked "the Chicken" also and thought it, and the vegetables were great.
Louisiana hot sauce is pretty similar to Tabasco hot sauce, and a few others out of LA. The chicken has great flavor, and maybe some spice, but I wouldn't call it hot/spicy."Bacon tastes gooood, pork chops taste gooood." - Vincent Vega, Pulp Fiction

looks really good!
-
spicy warm but not hot by a long shot. we have served it many time to none heat/spicy people and they are licking their fingers. it is funny as you cook the sauce it almost chokes you LOL and I cut back on the heat stuff in it the first time I did it. now do it full bore and it is GREAT. if it is just us I kick it up a bit for heat. we just love it

Steve, glad to see you around. that chix looks real good - glad you are keeping Bonnie happy with some spicey sauce :woohoo:
-
I put my chicken on about 30 minutes ago. Can't wait to try it!
-
Oh, Bonnie was a happy chic, indeed. She loves spicy stuff, especially stuff as good as this recipe!
-
Skthopsing, is the chicken done yet? Must be getting close. Lucky dog. Mine's long gone. Time for more tomorrow :P
