Linguine allo Scoglio
Village Idiot

I had my first meal of Linquine allo Scoglio in Venice and thought I had died and gone to heaven.
I attempted to do it tonight on the Egg. Pam is allergic to clams, so I had to make two versions, clams and mussels, and shrimp and calimari.
First, I got all of the ingredients lined up for the cook.

Then, I cooked the shrimp/calimari separately from the clams

Clams and mussels

Linguine allo Scoglio in a serving dish (clams)

Linguine allo Scoglio plated (Shrimp and calimari)

Green beans topped with pancetta and toasted sesame seeds

The table Pam set (Frank in Houma, can you find it?)

No dinner would be complete with out an Italian dessert, tiramisú in this case. This is store bought, but I will be making some this week.

nice spread. I like the way you organized your ingredients before the cook.

Gary,
Very nice! You cooked the pancetta no?

Yes. Cooked it like bacon, let it cool, then crumbled it.__________________________________________Dripping Springs, Texas.Just west of Austintatious

Awesome looking cook. Everything looks so good. Wish I could eat sea food. Allergic to shell fish. Good Eats bud.

We'd love that Molly. However, we wouldn't get any sleep with the police helicopters circling the house every morning.  :laugh:__________________________________________Dripping Springs, Texas.Just west of Austintatious -
Thanks Mike. Pam is allergic to shellfish too. She can eat shrimp, can take one bite of crab, but lobster would put her in the hospital. I don't think she's ever tried clams, but she's too afraid of them.
I feel for you and her. :(__________________________________________Dripping Springs, Texas.Just west of Austintatious -
Thanks KB. From Chinese stir-fry, I learned to put everything into a bowl, ready to add when called for. More dirty bowls, but easy cooking.

Lovely, and I'm sure it was delicious.
