Urban dwellers with shade have to improvise. These are the same plastic whiskey barrels that produced a bumper crop of okra last summer. Here's the 1015's. Not huge, but I bet will be good.
Happy Friday!

Is it time for 1015'S? I just learned about them last year and fell in love with them. I'll have to keep my eye's open. Nice looking crop, did you plant them on 10/15? :cheer:

Inquiring minds want know, did you plant then October 15th?
ETA: Gator beat me to the punchline.
Oh well, at least you'll have time to get the okra in now. -
I thought crop rotation was using a rotissorie under the barrel and giving it a spin....
Nice onions; what kind of special soil did you use? -
You're breakin' my heart.
I didn't get any seeds started this year and it's a little late I guess. Here in SW Ohio we don't usually plant outside before Mother's Day.
I'm hoping on of the local nuseries will have a good selelction of pepper seedlings this year. I did the earth boxes last year and was astounded out the production. The one thing I'm at a loss on is the Asparagus. This is year 3 for me and all I seems to get are very feathery good looking fern like foliage. The little stalks that come up are no thicker than a pencil. I wonder when I'll get some good harvest? -
Probably wouldn't have missed it by much, but don't know for sure.

Commercial with some compost.

Thinking you're probably right....dammit!

you can't grab a patch of ground at the school......
I hear ya about growing under shade trees.www.ceramicgrillstore.com ACGP, Inc. -
Gonna fry em?
I'm expanding the Huff farm this year....gonna be a whopping 96 square foot of green thumbness. -
Never let it die, will you? :woohoo: Wish I had 96 sq. ft.! However, I've managed to hid a few tomatoes and peppers in the perennial bed while Mama wasn't looking.
-
Now if we were not messing with you about onion rings, tater tots, and thousand island dressing.....you wouldn't feel the love! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
Hiding stuff in the perinnial bed is why you plant tall perinnials
There is a monsoon in Ohio today. No soccer....so we'll go to karate. No Kings island in the rain for me so I may take them to a book store just to torment them LOL -
Yep. I feel it a lot!
