Snapper Ponchartrain & Pesto Shrimp
Village Idiot
Posts: 6,959
I felt a little N'Awlins today, so I made some Red Snapper Ponchartrain, creole rice, green beans and Pesto Shrimp (thank you, Faith).
First, the Pesto shrimp

Next, red snapper cooked in butter (not heart healthy)

My wife exquisitely prepared the table

Plated, ready to eat

Close up

Pesto Shrimp (again, thank you Faith, and how do you like the shells?

I was always told while growing up...a man that had NO temper and did'nt carry a pocket knife was not a man.I LOVE the gun pics,I try to make sure I'm never in a position where one (gun) is outta reach!
I'd rather have one and not need it than need one and not have it!!!

Gary, another beautiful meal. That is such a rromantic setting you have there. Love the way your wife decorated with the shells. I've got to try those pesto shrimp. Faith has some great recipes.

Thanks Steve. Like I always say, I appreciate the comments from the real chefs.

Hi Gary. I'm glad you stayed awake all night thinking about those pesto shrimp - looks like it paid off. I like it that you did them in cast iron.
Good use of the shells for serving shrimp, isn't it nice to discover new stuff in the kitchen?
The sauce on your fish filet looks delicious, how do you make it look that good in a photo??
Oh, and if your wife has been the one arranging all the beautiful dinner settings you have posted, tell her I approve!
Have fun this weekend.
