A simple solution

I am not addressing a problem with any one individual here, but a recommendation in general.

Is there, or could there be, an IGNORE function on the forum, such that if a member selects another member to ignore, those posts are not presented to the requesting member. Other forums have this, and that function has stopped many a flame war.

If one person finds himself/herself ignored by a vast majority of the membership, they will move on.

Please consider this.

Thank you.

    Arbitrator,

    I like that idea.
    Thanks for the suggestion.
    I'll look into implementing it.

LOL. I was a mod in another life and one particular member got so bad that I selected "ignore". hahaha - I was a MOD, I wasn't supposed to ignore anyone!! Anyway, it was weird - I would see an entire thread and right in the middle would be a post I couldn't see. I could see that there was a post, but I just couldn't read it. It was frustrating!

    That was Vbulletin, btw.

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

  • I like it too.

That way trolls would be left all alone to converse with themselves.

And I think it is time to be done with guest accounts, since they are popular with "dweebs" that like to hide behind proxy servers.

I don't understand why you would want to be on here as a visitor anyways. If you want to be on here just register. It's not that hard. There's always more visitors than members

    WPB,

I have always defended the guest posts. I think in light of the recent events that it is not a good idea anymore.

    Respectfully
