Really not sure which size Egg to buy would like your input.
I will mostly be smoking butts and ribs but would like to cook some pizzas too - is the med egg big enough to handle a boston butt?
How many baby back slabs can each hold?
Right now I know of a buddy selling his med for $350 - is that a good deal - it's been used some but looks like it's in great shape.
Thanks!
Dan

Snap up the $350 medium for sure. It is plenty large for a butt, or 2.
The large is much better for ribs and pizza.
Don't pass up the deal on the Med. -
Ditto to what Bacchus said!

Take the deal on the med. for sure!

Take the deal just like everyone has said. I have a MBGE for a year now. I have cooked up to 8 lbs butts. Far as ribs go I have cook 3 rack of st. louis cut ribs. Due the bigger orders I'm getting to cook I'm getting a LBGE in May. You will love the Med. Good luck and happy egging

most here tend to have two or more eggs, usually a large and small, a large and medium is a good combo as well. you want to check the bottom under the base for cracks, there is no warrantee if your not the origional owner. cracked bases are not something usually seen so i wouldnt worry about it but i would check just the same). there has also been reports that the firebox in some mediums is too loose and affects how well the medium holds temps, you might want to post a medium specific post as most here dont have a medium.fukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it

Dan, I would grab that medium in a heartbeat for $350. That's a very good price. You'll have plenty of room to do butts and ribs.
-
I usually cook 6 on my large. That sounds like a very good price.

With a rib rack, I have no trouble cooking three racks of ribs in a medium, although I do have to cut the racks in half. Two pork butts, even big ones, should fit fine. Brisket can be a little bit more difficult -- you may have to roll the thin end underneath itself or drape the whole thing over a rib rack to make it fit -- but it's do-able.

I would jump on the medium for that price, I have a large and a medium, love them both. I have done multiple butts on medium and it works with no problems. Enjoy!
-
I love my Large, but for that price, I'd be all over the medium.
-
I have a large and will be buying a medium in the next few weeks for my smaller cooks. I would snap up that medium for the price

To good of a deal to pass up.
