my wife saw those and immediately asked for details.
what kind of pickles, seasoning, time and temp?
thanks, -
I didn't have that wow factor...but just used plain dill pickles, did you add rub or anything else to yours?
-
Rub or no, that sound just interesting enough to try!
-
I stirred it all up with a post from Florida Grillin girl, she had posted a pic showing some zucchini whic I mistook as pickle slices..and it's been experiment one after another ever since..

kosher spears with my favorite DP (Firewalk)

After my first attempt I knew rub would make a big difference..I was kinda thinkin pineapple head for a big contrast...but the heat idea always sounds good...

Here is the picture from the first try - I used dill pickles with Dizzy Pig Raging River. Good idea with the Pineapple Head.

Wess, ya have to put some rub on them!

Figured I would go au naturale for the first attempt...will definately use a rub or 3 on the next try...Glad this all got started..you never know what might come of it..You comin to Waldorf this year?

THIS is the exact reason I am so pleased to have found this forum. There is no way I would have slapped a bunch of pickles on the Egg but now you have motivated me to absolutely give this a try. I'm thinking a pickle sampler plater would be a great and fun way to kick off a group dinner. Do a bunch of pickles with different seasonings/rubs...maybe smoke up some olives and califlower....the Egg version of the old-fashioned relish tray
