need help with pizza stone

we are going to cook pizza tonight on our new pizza stone ````do i need to put oil on the stone before cooking on the stone ?---they are no directions in the pizza stone box.......

No. Is it a BGE stone? If not, don't take it past 450*, They tend to splode.

Linda...NO oil! Recommended set up, platesetter, feet down, 3 green egg feet, then the pizza stone. Let it heat up a good hour before cooking your pies. Though some will say higher, we cook our pizza at 550*. Have fun!

No oil, water or anything else. Just heat and cook. Looking forward to seeing and hearing about this cook.
