Has anyone use this? They are about 4-5 inches long and are made of wax and sawdust. And will burn for 12 minutes. I was planning to cut them into 3 pieces.
And got my fire grate from the dealer today, turns out the people who put the one I purchased together threw out the grate. It took 15 minutes of searching the new box for them to find me a grate!
Now just need the nerve to start my BGE!

Thanks everyone! Will post & send pictures when I do my ribs!

Use them all the time. I have them shipped from over seas. Much cheaper. Dollar for 16 sticks, they have a 12min burn.

rosros, is there a link for ordering them overseas? A dollar for 16 is great. I got 8 for $1.50. I guessing I would get 3 pieces from each stick and would end up using 3 pieces of the BGE wax starters, which cost $4.99 per box of 24. So the Strike a fire seems like a deal.

I used to use them all the time. I used to break them into three pieces and spread them at 12, 4 and 8 O'clock on the egg.
With starter cubes like those you need to leave the dome open for a while till they burn out or you will have a smoke fest for a few minutes...
Then I got a Mapp torch for Xmas, and never used them again. Have a couple boxes left and a box of BGE starte cubes, maybe I'll take those camping... -
My mother in law sends it over within the care packages. They are in the dollar stores over there. Sorry no link.
