Blues Hog BBQueban Sandwich

I was happy to see last week that Food City has started carrying Blues Hog sauces and rubs!!!!!

My wife loves Cuban sandwiches. So I used pulled pork (instead of the traditional roast pork) and Blues Hog Honey Mustard BBQ Sauce (instead of plain yellow mustard) and made her a BBQueban!

Blues Hog BBQueban Sandwich
1 loaf Cuban bread (I can't get it around here so use French bread)
1/4 pound ham, thin sliced
1/4 pound pulled pork
1 ounce Blues Hog Honey Mustard BBQ Sauce (or use any South Carolina style mustard BBQ sauce)
4 each dill pickle slices (lengthwise slices like Claussen brand Sandwich Slices)
1/4 pound swiss cheese
Slice the bread lengthwise. Lightly butter the inside of the bread and grill/toast until crisp.
Top the bottom with the ham, pork, mustard sauce, pickle, cheese and the top piece of bread. Cut in half at an angle.
Cook in a panini press for 5-8 minutes. If you don't have a press, you can put the sandwich between a hot griddle and a preheated cast iron (or heavy pot) on top.

We were very pleased! And full, these things are huge.

Chris, that is one of the best sandwiches ever conceived, & your version looks awesome. Is that a Breville? It looks familiar. Great posthappy in the hut

We have a chain called Food City here in AZ but I suspect its not related to yours. The one here is primarily a Mexican market. -RP

Chris, that Cuban sandwich looks fantatic!!! My husband makes delicious cubans also. We'll have to try it with the Blues Hog Mustard. The Blues Hog line of sauces and marinades is fantastic, I see Bill Arnold is winning quite a few of the sauce competitons with them.
