Hi Everyone
I have a ham that is on the bone. I would like to cook it in my Small Egg. I have a plate setter. I guess I am looking for directions on how to cook this ham for Easter. Any info would be great!

Here is a good one......even if I do say so myself! I would omit the raised grid if I were doing it on a small, however.

Can this be made without the Bourbon?
-
yep. can be made without the ham too, to be technical

if you want to leave it out, leave it out. it won't of course have the same flavor.
essentially, the way you cook a ham in the egg is no different than the oven. recipes vary, but it's all basically heat-n-eat, assuming you have a precooked ham. -
Make sure you check the calibration on your egg thermometer.
Love ham done on the egg. Egret's method is great and so is Alton Brown's.
Lately here is how I have been cooking them.

I use Grade "B" Maple Syrup and found I like to use a sprial cut ham as I can use my hands to apply syrup and get more in.Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Just given a Mini to add to the herd.
