Nothing more basic or simple than leg quarters and a fatty.
Going on at 400 indirect with dizzy dust and swamp venom

a little carnivore robust on 4 of them for the last 20 minutes

also had a fatty on the small, 250 indirect
diced onion and pablano pepper with a mexican cheese mix

on the small with dizzy dust and some apple wood

this will make for a nice breakfast

and for the seasonal part fed the wife and neighbors with the first batch of chicken. Just started mine and this is the news break

Oh well guess it's better than hurricane season

Real yummy cook there Pat.

Now why did you have to go and post that last picture. It just raised my blood pressure. That's what cancelled my flight and detoured me to Jacksonville with the little 3 hour trip (not to mention the smokey delay) to Melbourne. Nothing like the leisurely scenic route after midnight, lol. -
Looks great! We are getting bands of hard rain here. Two girls lit, Frank from Houma stuffed Frito's on one, chicken going on next for enchiladas. Betty the baker going to cook some corn corn bread then chili
-
wow pat hope you have a raincoat!
i bought leg quarters today also.. i did 250 indirect with some cherry!!!
did the veggies get soft in the fatty? it has been so long since i did one.... but i think i have always precooked my veggies.... let me know cause it could result in two less steps if they get soft enough
happy eggin

You got that right Richard
-
  but it's true,,, at least around here it is
-
Thanks Fred,,, simple is good and my silver haired neighbors love it
-
Zip, just pulled the egg up under the awning so I could just open the sliders and flip the chicken while standing in the den
  -
Beli, tie the eggs hell,, they weigh more than me. I need to tie myself to the egg
:woohoo: :woohoo: -
Typical Florida bill. Beautiful all day with a brief 1 hour interruption. I did get a lot of yard work done today
-
Chow looks great. I feel your pain on the nado's. Always wonder where my egg will end up when this type of weather arises. Gotta get me some carnivor, as it sure seems to be a popular sauce on this forum, well beyond the national brands.
-
Steve, at our height we don't have much choice
  -
Molly, that quick the storm is already passed. Just a few small branches to pickup in the yard.
-
That was tough for you Rebecca. It's easy to sit in the house and watch the trees bend but you had to drive through it
-
Terry I've never precooked the veggies in the fatty but I do dice them up. I think all the cheese helps to soften them.
-
thanks pal

Bruce, Todds sauce is good. My favorite is the sweet but the robust is a close 2'nd. Now that my dealer is going to stock it I won't have to keep so much on hand.
-
Susan, your busy you having your own afterparty
-
YES! after Duke kicked b-hind
Just finished the Frito's
Teresa's niece requested egged chicken enchiladas and the chili and corn bread are for her dad. Will see them tomorrow in N.C. Gotta cook to please everybody  Thank-goodness

I was driving in it on the west coast. Rather have been eating it.
-
You could of at least slowed it down while it was over on your coast
