Sweet!

Nice!!! Congrats!!! She's a beauty!
-
Great. What do you mean the wheels are gone?
Are they now an option for the nest?
DarianThank you,DarianGalveston Texas -
That was my question.
-
With some dealers you never know.
I know at one time they were charging an up grade for the larger size wheels over the standard size but I thought they were all shipping with the larger size now.
So lucky to have a good dealer just up the road.

So I guess congrats is in order due to the "new arrival".
Now the folks will want to see pix of your cooks.
Good luck! -
 No, sorry, that was me using the wrong word (excuse my French!).
I meant the nest is gone... Sorry about that!
It's just that they delivered it, but I hadn't asked for it (nor paid for it). I didn't feel it was fair to keep it, so I called back my dealer and they came to fetch. It was reserved to another customer, so they would have found out anyway - it's a very small dealer.
My fiancee plans to build a table over the week-end. -
edit: double post

now it is time to light it...

Congrats!
I got my large a little over a month ago and the wheels came with the nest. Wasn't like it was a mistake or something, as everything was together in the sealed box. Considering that the nest is supposed to be a way to move your egg, I'd hardly expect the casters to be an option and I've certainly never seen it advertised that way although admittidly I'm no expert. -
All in due time!
I would love to start right away, but since I've been told to cook the grid with nothing on top for at least one hour, and that my fiancee insists on being present when I light up my fire (pun intended), and since we have monster kids who always want to eat NOW, we will wait until Saturday.
Anyway, I am still not decided on what my first cook will be! -
You're life just changed. Congratulations !__________________________________________Dripping Springs, Texas.Just west of Austintatious

"cook the grid with nothing on top" ?
-
Congrats! & welcome to the cult
Which dealer did you end up getting it from? -
They do look particularly nice when they are on your own deck don't they? Congratulations!
-
Awesome!! You'll love it.
-
Good for you. Fire that baby up.

The one close to my home, the one who's son had said they didn't carry it anymore.
I got superb service, and much better for my money than all the other places I called.
That's why I called him back about the nest: I want to keep a good relationship with this guy, and honesty is always key. -
Sorry, my English is not as good as it used to be... I keep getting people confused today!
What the delivery guy told me is that I have to heat the egg when it's empty, to "cure" (?) the grid, before first use. Do I make any sense, or am I in a linguistic limbo once again? -
The grid doesn't need curing. You might hit it with a spray of Pam or something but not even necessary.
Good luck and congrats. -
Isabelle,
It is nice to see your new addition to the family. Let us know what your first cook is.

It is a beauty. I almost remember when mine was that shiny, I think it was about 10 pounds ago.
Enjoy, and don't be shy about asking questions here. There is a lot of knowledge and good will available. -
congrats on your new egg. You will love it to death. What are you cooking on it first?
