Woke up with a crave for red jalapenos today..........seeded & deveined some....Rosemary was winking at me....

Fired the Mini....350 indirect..

Pulled after 1 hr.............................................

The best ABT's I've done no doubt.................

Loren is not particularly fond of them..this is her plate.....I counted four stems there................

Once the Mini got going I fixed some black bass with mustard & DP's Shaking The Tree................................

Kept same temp............................

Pulled just after a few minutes & added a green salad ................

The sugar berry was flowering all over & the smell terrific

Another great sunday.......Have a great week

My friend, simply BEAUTIFUL!!!The scenery and food!Great family pic!Is there a discernable difference in the red and green jalepeno peppers.I ask because I am planting a large garden this year. Are the red ones a different variety or just regular ones that are allowed to ripen longer???
-
DNA testing was completed today. It has been confirmed that I am your long lost 1/2 brother, so me, my wife, and my dogs will be moving in with you shortly.

Hoss, Gracias mi amigo. I think almost all peppers turn red when ripe. The only reason we have green peppers is becasue they are picked before they can turn, either for taste reasons, or because ripe peppers could go bad during storage and transport. I like mine red better if I can find them, The heat level is VERY dependent on the growing conditions. Even different peppers on the same plant can have vastly differing heat levels. For example, sometimes I end up with "cool" jalapenos that are barely hotter than cayenne, and sometimes I end up with a scorcher that makes me weep.

Thanks!

Beli, all I can say is "WOW"!!! Those are the most beautiful jalapenos I've ever seen. A very interesting twist with the rosemary. I can only imagine how good they tasted. I haven't had black bass in a long time and that looks scrumptious. Love the family pic!! You're really pushing me to schedule a trip to Monterey. Your views are breathtaking!!!
-
Anne, the rosemary is growing great now & the combination of flavours with the jalapeno, cheese & bacon was superb, you are most welcome anytime just give us a 2 seconds warning....
-
Beli,
Weeping is good. :woohoo:
I'm not a wuss, hot (Big Grin Here and don't pick on me, :woohoo:  ) it's all good if you can handle it. If it makes me sweat and cry, it good. :silly:

Beli,
Who made the stand that your egg (mini ?) sits in and/or where did you get it? Is it just a stand for flower pots? I really like it.
Thanks, -
Beli a great meal from my friends south of the border
