Dr. Pepper Kabobs (pic heavy)

Wanted to do something different yesterday, and decided on Kabobs. I had the butcher cut two really thick pieces of sirloin (I only used the smaller )which I marinated in Stubbs Beef Marinade and about 4 oz. of Dr. B (Pepper). The veggies were marinated in a Lemon Pepper Marinade. Both were in the marinade about 5 hours.
I like to pre-cook my peppers ( I used Poblanos) and onions to get them a bit more done prior to skewering. For the cook I used the adjustable crossbars in tjv's adjustable rig to support the skewers. It makes it really easy to turn skewers or rotate various pieces. Temp. was 300 + and let them dwell a bit at the end after taking it up to about 400.
Oh yeah, did some Crash Hot Russets. Love those things.
Meat was incredibly tender and tasty.
Happy Sunday!
