Eastern NC style BBQ

Last night I put an 8 pound Boston butt on the LBGE. In the past I've used a rub - this time, for an experiment, I thought I would try it without the rub. I did make and use the vinegar based eastern style BBQ sauce.
I do like it better with the rub - although my wife likes it best without the rub - I guess I'll be eating it without the rub from now on.
