if you figure out what he's famous for let me know - both of his franchises locally went belly up in a year and that was before this economy went sour. I ate there once and never went back!

  • Almost every time I see a post by you and Sparky I think of that line from the movie "Anchorman" where Ron says "keep it classy San Diego." :P

I don't know about Georgia Mustard sauce. I can get you about three kinds here in South Carolina. The two best here are Shealy's and Maurice's(not many store here carry that one anymore because he still flys the Stars and Bars at his Restaurants).

It was one of those things that I had no idea of what to expect for taste. Tad bit of kick but back ground flavor was interesting!

  • Costco had a special event selling Famous Dave's last weekend. It was four bottles for $6.99. I bought two of the regular BBQ sauce, one chicken marinade, and one Texas Pit. I have had the BBQ sauce. It is okay. The chicken marinade was okay on some thighs I cooked last night.

Anyone had experience with the Texas Pit?

I like it, my wife does not, she like only tomato Based sauces. I personally like Maurice's out of Columbia, SC. Being in the Carolinas we get the full deal, Tomato based(western NC), Vinegar Pepper(eastern NC), and Mustard based Central SC.
