Well, tomorrow is Spring.

Today is so pretty, temperature is 74°, and the flowers are blooming in my yard. I couldn't resist.

  • Makes me even more anxious for spring to arrive around here. But.. we may get 1-2 inches of snow this weekend along with the cold to go with it. We had 67degress yesterday and will hit 70 today (Northern Illinois), then the bottom will drop out. I look at it this way: where else can a person experience all 4 season in one day or weekend? Not much of a consolation though. My brother lives in Sea Brook TX and he always rubbing it in about the weather. So enjoy, I'll catch up soon!!
  • Pssst....great pictures, but, you realize this is Friday, right?

Great pics. Planning to cover up my vegetable garden tonight since it's supposed to drop from 73 today to 37 tonight. I can't believe that we may get snow flurries again tomorrow.

Great photos, especially the first one.

But how did you keep the pollen off of all your toys? It's so thick up here in Spring that my bright red truck and my nice green Eggs are all bright yellow.

Loving the day because tomorrow it rains and hopefully washes all the yellow away and replaces it with deep green.

Nice, Beli !! Is that a Kiskadee in the second picture? We have them in the Rio Grande valley, but not here. Beautiful bird. Do you have Green Jays too?

    Leroy,

I have two water oaks in my front yard and they are loaded with those little pollen hang down thingies, but the pollen doesn't seem to be getting on anything. My wife is coughing, sneezing, slurping, snorting, etc. so I know it's in the air. Go figure...

Send him a note in August, and ask him what the temperature is.

Thanks Di. I would think your veggies should be OK at 37°. Not much colder though. And, with the reliability of the weather forecaster, I think you're smart in covering them up. :P

This is what I got in my neck of town.

At least we are getting some moister. We've had a dry cold long winter. Simple spring snow.
