Florida Egghead Mini Fest 2010

So now that I attended my first eggfest, I am hooked. The Sunshine State Eggfest was a blast. What a great group of people to spend a weekend around. My question now is when is the next fest in Florida? I heard mention of the Florida Egghead Mini Fest. Anyone have any idea when/where that is and where I can get tickets?
Any advice is appreciated.

    September 10 & 11 at Tuckaway shores about 2 miles south of where the Sunshine fest was. There is only about 7 or 8 more rooms left.

    Thanks for the quick response Pat. I tried to book online but looks like they are booked. Worse case scenario, we will book at the Crowne Plaza and drive down to join in the festivities. I assume this is a BYOE (Bring your own egg) event?

    Jamey you need to call and let them know you are an Egghead. A friend of mine (yes I do have 1) just got a room yesterday. Not sure there is room at Tuckaway for people to stay at other hotels and come over.

    Call Jackie at Tuckaway tomorrow. I was there yesterday and she still had rooms, but the online version was booked. She has blocked the entire place for eggers. Beware LONEY Lurks!!

    Thanks for the pointer. I will call them when they open tomorrow and give it a shot. FYI I got my adjustable rig ordered today. Went with the oval rack setup. Can't wait to get it and fire up the egg. Will keep you posted on results.

    Like Jim said. The whole hotel is reserved for us so she took the rooms offline. No tickets or registrations this is more like an eggers vacation. Last year we only had 14 rooms this year we have all 32.

    Jamey....If you are thinking about mini fest, don't expect what you just experienced at this past weekends fest! :blink: The mini fest is an unplanned weekend, just a few EGGHEADS getting together to COOK and be merry!!! (There may be a bit of alcohol involved too... :whistle: ) I believe it was Pat that said....kind of just a mini vacation... and an excuse to get some Eggheads together. There are no schedules, no demos, no door prizes....just relaxed fellowship, with cooking on the egg as our common bond. A GREAT time....and Tuckaway Shores is great! The owner, Jacqui, attended the fest this weekend as well. ;) Hope to see you there! (and yes, you must call to book, as she has reserved the whole location for Eggheads. A few rooms left as of yesterday.)
