SUNSHINE STATE EGGFEST IN REVIEW

Greetings Eggheads,
The body and brain have recovered enough, so I wanted to post some thank you’s and acknowledgments for all the support and help in making this one of the best Eggfest ever. It all started with a phone call in May of 2009 with PBM (Mike).
We kicked around the idea of organizing the Florida eggfest after hearing that Tania had called it quits and was not planning on doing another fest. (after 7 years, I can’t blame her) So after 10 months, hundreds of phone man hours, thousands of emails, the Sunshine State Eggfest 2010 has come and gone. Everyone who had a hand in putting this fest together is happy and sad at the same time. Happy that it is over, and sad that we all have to wait until next year. My sincere and humble thanks goes out to Mike. Poot designed and put hundreds of hours just in the web site alone. He and Sabrina sacrificed more than a few weekends to organize registration and stuff the envelopes. Julie, Neil, Kay and Jim drove hundreds of miles to attend meetings, offer guidance and did tons of grunt work. Pat who made lots of contacts, was our eyes and ears in Melbourne. Michelle organized the first ever Ceramic Iron Chef Competition and worked very hard with The Green Turtle Market and their Chef. To the army of helpers, Sponsors and volunteers that helped with registration, setup, door prizes and ideas. (In no order) Todd, Kim, Ginny, Doug, Marc, Brian, Anne, Dell, Mickey, Ted, Jacqui, Tom P, Clay, Dan, Al, Tom, Wayne, Ron, Rob V, Candace, Tom Z, Brenda M. (I hope I didn’t forget anyone) This fest could not have been done without the help of these fine folks.
I have uploaded 164 pics that I collected from others and put them in two slide shows for your enjoyment. ALSO: If you cooked at the fest, please get your recipes to Egret so he can make you famous in the Sunshine State Eggfest 2010 Official cookbook. Hope to see you at next year’s fest! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

By the way. We had to cancel the betting pool on how long it would take before you started posting about next year's fest. Seems EVERYONE voted "As soon as she has internet access after "after party". It's been declared a "no-brainer, no-contest".

Just got home,(3,422 miles there and back) fired up two large eggs and started cooking Irish dinner. Good to be home but it was GREAT to be at Sunshine State Eggfest. I think all other fests this year will aspire to this one. You and Mike and your supporters did a great job to make it the best ever. Congrats! :cheer:

Hey Tim,
