Rainy Weekend Raspberry Ribs
Grand Oeuf Vert
Posts: 1,631
The weather here this weekend was lousy. Cold, Windy, Wet. So why would we let that stop us! Time for some Raspberry Ribs...
Here are the slabs, all rubbed up...

The Bride is making a batch of our Raspberry BBQ Sauce...

Sauce cooked and all strained to remove the seeds...

On to the Egg, the ribs go...

A spray of Apple juice every 30 minutes and 3 hours later...

Removed from V Rack. Based with Margerine...

Then honey...

Then Raspberry BBQ sauce...

Done! And to perfection!...

Like I said, why let lousy weather stop you form Egging!

Damn! Those look great! Do you use a plate setter under that foil?
-
Yum! Care to share the raspberry sauce recipe? Also, what did you use for the rub?
-
Nice ribs!! I recognize that work area. Hope your fest goes as well this year as it did the last.
Doug -
And to think Steven says you can't cook. :silly:
Nice ribs man

Tim,
They look delicious! Is that raspberry sauce recipe something you can share or is it one of those things where if you told me you'd have to kill me???
Brian -
Yes to Platesetter. Also drip pan with large foil bib. The foil does two things. Helps defect juice, marg, honey and sauce into drip pan. Plus prevents direct heat which causes the sugar in the rub and sauce to burn.

Hey...Anytime you need our kitchen to prep your cooks, it's available. Hope all is well.
-
I'd love to have the sauce recipe too! I've been using a raspberry chipotle marinade recently but it's getting harder to find so I'd love to have a replacement for it.
-
There is a big difference between can't cook and doesn't want to.
-
I'll do up the recipe and e-mail it to ya. Or post it here.
-
Those are some great looking ribs. Experimenting is fun.
-
I bet tasted as good as it looked Tim

Tim, Those ribs look out of sight!! Is that the new floor I see?
Sorry to hear about the furnace.Molly
