New York Strip on the small...

Did a prime NY strip tonight, cast iron grate at 600F. Also did thin-sliced fried sweet potato chips with onions. Heavenly. Baked asparagus with garlic and asiago, and a touch of Worcestershire. Problem was, it all got done at the same time and, well...

You'll just have to believe me. It looked AWESOME!!! (And tasted even better!)

You have Eggcellent taste my friend. I love anything out of the Franciscan Estate, and have 6-7 bottles of the 2002 Magnificant left in waiting.

Many humble thanks! I was fortunate enough to pick up a case of the splits a few years ago at a very good price. Incredible wine!

I think the 2002 finished 2nd or 3rd in the Wine Spectator awards for 2003. It is always in the top 20, year after year, and at approx $40 bottle it is a great value for the "collectible" quality that it is. I would rank my 02's in the top 3-4 of my collection.
