It would seem to me that it would make sense to have a few stickies at the top of the forum for frequently asked questions. The ones I'm thinking of are:

How to post a photo
Having trouble controling temperature
I can't seem to get my Egg to higher temps
Grandpas Grub handy reference sites for newbies

I suspect others would be handy as well

Not complaining at all but the same questions come up almost daily and it would be a handy place for folks to get info quick.

  • So it wouldn't take up a lot of room, I think it could be a one liner

    Subject: Frequently asked questions

When the sticky is opened it has a list of FAQs that are under the help tab and it directs you to the help tab.

But FAQs under the help tab would have to be expanded - the FAQs under the help tab are how to use the forum.

I use the Search a lot but looking for something someone posted a long time ago, can be cumbersome because the author is not listed

Once again - I'm not complaning but, inter alia, the forum is a resource for folks looking for help and making it easier to find help could be handy.

Change can be good if it adds value.

Great Idea B) ! I'm no techie, but, like you, I don't think it would be a big deal to put in a FAQ tab somewhere in the header.

As a new guy this seems like a great idea. I do a lot of searches as well. I have a continuous Word doc that I cut and paste to for info I want to keep.

Let me know if I can help in some way. Pls respond with your thoughts.

I really appreciate everyone on the forum.

    Thanks,

    Daniel
