Crock pot???

Crack pipe?
-
Does a loin have enough fat to take it that far?
-
Terry, I have done it as a typical loin, but smoke at low temp the first half hour or so for flavor. Taking it to 195-200 internal will result in dry pork. So it is better to pull it off around 160 and chop instead of pulling.

That's what i pictured.

I like it better with a TON of garlic and pinto beans and chili powder.

the bottom of the pot is covered in garlic, those few floated up
this is almost done -
that is kinda what i was thinking. i was aso thinking about smoking it for awhile and then throwing it into the dutch oven with some apple juice and bbq sauce till it fell apart..

Next time in Publix look in the meat section for some already done. hehe

I will try to find my recipe if you want it. it is about 5 heads of garlic, a bag of dried pintos and then a couple of tbs of chili powder and cumin. water to cover and indirect, a couple of hours till the beans are done and the pork falls apart.

we served it on nacho chips at the NH egg fest with shredded sharp cheese, salsa and sour cream. I freeze the left overs and use on pizza, in burritos and as filling for enchiladas. (the very best
