What kind of claws do you have? Stoned, Alaskan or Snow??

  • if your crab claws are snow crab type legs, most people forget that they are actually already cooked. Just get them hot, don't overcook them.

Steam them on your stove, maybe 5 minutes at most, just to defrost & heat

the mahi mahi can be delicate, so make sure you oil your grates right before you put your fish down. I like to marinate in italian dressing for 10 minutes or so and then put immediately onto the grill.
  • Ken,

For the mahi, this is one of my favorites:

    Mahi Mahi Maui Style
This is one of my favorite fish dishes, which is huge considering I hate fish:)

    Yield: 4
    Main Ingredient: Seafood-Other
    Cuisine: Hawaiian

    1 1/2 pounds mahi mahi
    2 teaspoons lemon juice
    1 teaspoon butter
    1 teaspoon honey
    1 garlic
    1 teaspoon sesame seeds
    1 teaspoon teriyaki sauce

    Instructions

Melt butter in a skillet and brown garlic. Remove from heat and add teriyak, lemon juice, honey, and sesame and mix well. Marinate fillets 30 minutes. Grill over medium coals until white and flakey.

If I remember right, this was about 400f direct heat using a raised grid.

For the crab claws, I season them with Old Bay, loosely wrap them with foil, and put them on the Egg as it cools down from a steak cook while the steak is resting. You're just trying to get them warm.

Kroger having a sale? I might have to go get some:)

  • Both those mahi recipes sound really good.
