I've had visions of smoked pork butt dancing in my head since I first heard of BGEs. I want one so bad I can "taste" it...

If someone in the Orlando area (I will travel!)has a used one they would like to part with, I would very much appreciate a chance to give it a new home.

Just a thought for ya, there are a lot of eggfests coming up. Check out the demo pkg's. Some of them have substaantial savings

Here is a link to the Sunshine State fest demo page as you will see a large is only $665.00 medium is only $495.00 and you could do pulled pork on either one.
Good luck on finding a used one it can be done but you will have to be the first person to find it and act quickly.

You may be better off buying a new or demo BGE because they have an excellent non transferable life time warranty. Just keep the bill of sale from a BGE dealer and send in the warranty card. Tim

Thanks for the great info! I'm a little confused, though, about demo eggs - I thought I read that you can only buy one if you are registered to go to the Eggfest (which I'd do in a heartbeat), and it seems they are sold out of tickets... How does that work?

I've got craigslist on speed dial (so to speak) - I missed a large BGE for $245.00 by one day. The gentleman had it sold in about 5 minutes... DRAT!

Thanks for the advice - the Sunshine State Egg fest has been sold out though... One has to be registered to be able to buy a demo, no??
