Working 12's days all week end and come home to a plesent supprise. Wife had said she was cooking chillie tonight but was doing it on the stove! Drove (yes drove as it was snowing at 3:30 am when I left for work and I left the Harley covered up. I'm such a posser!) up an I could smell the sweet smell of presimmon wood burning! The Egg was lit! She did most of the pics herself so no raws but really easy. One onion and 6 cloves garlic brown well in EVOO. Add 1 1/2 lb chuck and 1/2 lb breakfast sausage with one of the chedder links I did a few days ago chopped and browned. Pour off grease. Add (2) 14 1/2 oz Hunts roasted tomatoes along with a can of 8oz tomato sause with garlic and water to bring the whole thing up to top of cast iron. Salt, pepper, chapotle sause (Tobassaco), chilli powder, ground cummin, onion and garlic powder.

On the Egg setting on smoke rocks at about 300 with lid 1/4 uncovered and presimmon wood threw the whole cook for about 2 1/2 hours adding water as needed.

Snow came in yesterday and was actually pretty. Gone by this afternoon. Just the way I like it! It did add a differant look to the garden. Bed time folks. Good night. ;)
