I read through the warranty on the BGE site and was just curious what is covered.
Are hale (spelling) storms or tornadoes covered? If my dome falls off and breaks is it covered? If the insides crack due to heat they are replaced by BGE correct? If I drop anything it is not replaced by BGE?
Anything else I am missing here?

It is a warranty, not insurance.
The unit is guaranteed to be free of defect and will not break under normal intended use. -
Weather related damage would be covered under your homeowners insurance policy after the deductible has been met.
-
If you drop it? Why are you picking it up?
-
No, hail and tornadoes are not cover, but neither are earthquakes, civil wars, nuclear holocausts or other man made disasters.
That being said, it may be the best warranty I have seen and the BGE Company stands behind it!! -
From State Farms website: "Loss due to Hurricane or Wind and Hail is covered by our basic Homeowners, Condo Unitowners, and Rental Dwelling policies. Coverage can be affected by use of policy endorsements." Bottom line is read your policy to make sure and if you still can't tell, contact your agent. In most cases though once you've paid the deductible you could probably buy a new egg for the same amount.

Ever drop one.. It makes a major mess..
-
it is not covered if you drop it or it falls over when you are moving it. if the dome falls off after you bought it and the dealer assembled, I would talk with the dealer. If you assembled BGE and the dome fell off, no it is not covered.

Wow, the sight of that brings a tear to my eye. :(

The lifetime warranty was created to ease the minds of people that had owned older kamado type cookers.
The fire clay in all old ones and some new competitors is not able to handle high heat or rapid temperature changes. The BGE is the only one that can really handle that. WARRANTIED! -
Most if not all of the ceramic cookers on the market can handle the temperature changes. Most have a very strong warranty on the ceramics as well.
Grilldome has a lifetime warranty.
Primo has a 20 year warranty
Kamadao Joe has a 20 year warranty. -
You would end up paying much more over time by filing a claim on a grill than the cost of just replacing it out of pocket....unless the broken grill was part of a much larger loss. That is if you were even renewed by your carrier after such a claim.

So I guess it comes down to this
BGE will fix anything THEY Screw up
other than that *hit happens and you deal with it right?
thanks guys
