How true it is!

I wash them, air dry, place individually on a cookie sheet, place into freezer until frozen, pop them off the cookie sheet and then place in Zip Lock freezer bags. They keep well. Thaw and cook. Pretty darn good in the middle of winter although not as good as fresh.

Allowing them to see where you found them wasn't the problem...teaching them how to fix them that's where it went off the rails.
I had my first two years ago. I have been begging my aunt ever since. -
The king of mushrooms! Yum. My mother often made them just like Richard's recipe. I like them lightly dusted with flour and fried in CI with clarified butter. I also like them with foie gras (but what doesn't go good with foie gras?). I've never deep fried them, but how could you go wrong? I suggest you serve them at an eggfest.
P.S. I'll never share my secret morel spot with anyone! -
That is one item that doesn't need Egged. They MUST be fried in some cornmeal and flour mixture.

I train dogs to hunt those babies!!

My wife will coat the morels in eggwash and crushed up saltines. She will then sautee with a scrambled type egg concoction. Tons of pepper and some salt. So freaking food.
Every spring we go to wisconsin and bring some back. Worth the drive for the morels and cheese curds alone
