Muchas Gracias Leroy!!!

They were shipped out because they wouldn't swear allegiance to the king - they would just swear at him.

Some got out here and there along the way, but most had sense enough to geaux all the way to Louisiana
That chicken looks mightyfine Leroy. I would have the yellow shirt a pretty red by the time I finished eating - and my face. -
My yellow shirt had splashes of red before it was all over. I think some even got on my diaper too LOL...
As for the banished Acadians, they found a new home where the could swear at the King and anyone else they wanted to and not worry about it. And they still carry on that tradition I hear. Even so, when called upon by crisis they stand up and be counted.
They could have done the same in Canada if they had just been left alone. But Kings don't like that kind of loyalty.

Leroy,
This recipe works !!!!! I have it on the 45 minute simmer, but can't keep from spooning the sauce to "test it". I'm already thinking of my next cook with shrimp and crawfish !
You done good, dude. Thanks. It's already in my recipe book.

That's a great recipe Leroy. Made it many times with various meats. My fav is catfish or cod...nice and spicy. See ya in OKC.

Thanks Jerry. I saw a few more ingredients in your version. Could be they are just what mine needs to take it up another notch.
I also saw Teresa's Rosemary Bread recipe. I might give that a shot. Looks really good.
We're still on for OK-City. See y'all there.

Frank,
It was really the Brits that did that. We were a newborn country at the time. My own ancestors were still in Scotland and Wales. We, apparently, didn't like the English much.
