Tuscan Steak Topper and MYSTERY MEAT ?

We cooked up some Tuscan Steak Topper to compliment a couple of GREAT pieces of Beef tonight.

Unfortunately I have NO IDEA what cut of meat this was (got any thoughts?); it was languashing in the bottom of our freezer.

It cooked up as some of the best of the season...EVOO rub with fresh ground sea salt and fresh ground black pepper. Cooked to Rare/Medium Rare.
The ingredients for the Tuscan Steak Topper include Red Peppers, Capers, Olives (with pimentos) Fresh ground Black Pepper and about 5 Garlic Cloves sliced.

Soaked in EVOO and Sautéed in a terracotta baking dish (stirring constantly) at full T-Rex flame while cooking the beef.

PS-when the weather is cold my wife won't open the slider to pass me the condiments...we had a special pass through installed, ha.

Finally, just returned from LV where I attended a meeting and the LOVE show at the Mirage...had to buy a new cooking hat!

I think you are correct, I remember buying it now. It cooked up fork tender at over a inch thick so it had to be a good cut. Thanks...it's hell getting old!Visit my blog, dedicated to my Big Green Egg Recipies at http://www.bigtsbge.blogspot.com You can also follow my posts on FaceBook under the name Keep On Eggin' or the link http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Keep-On-Eggin/198049930216241

Ditto what DOW said - top sirloin.
Doesn't look like a 1.75 ltr bottle of Jim Beam will fit thru the pass-thru.
Nice pics! -
Top sirloin in my opinion.
