As some may know I bought an Imperial Kamado at an estate sale last Oct for $10. Needed some serious help! My friend Gloria said that if I did not restore it she would have another planter by the pool.
This thing had a propane burner in the bottom and groves on the base edge for a rotissere rod.

Thank you Lawn Ranger

Finished with Krylon Jadestone.

Well ran it for a test drive today. Spatchcock 325F 1 hour 15 minutes.

Fun project, BUT will not do another. TOOO many eggs for us. large, small and now the King of the Court. Maybe a mini down the road???

Nice refurb job, Richard. That is a really fun story. Is it the same size as a small?
FaithHappily egging on my original large BGE since 1996... now the owner of 5 eggs. Call me crazy, everyone else does!
3 Large, 1 Small, 1 well-used Mini -
NO! Same size as the large BGE that is why I got the plate setter in your part of town last week. See you in March??

Love the addition of "Ten Bucks". Pretty slick.
Not sure if you got the post & mail. The "juice" arrived and WOW, thanks and Shelagh also said tell "that guy" in Florida with the water pictures thanks. My gal misses the ocean. Not sure if I ever told you she grew up in England by the ocean.

Nice job on the restoration Richard!
I brought a couple of my restored claypots to the 2008 Evergreen Eggfest and had a couple folks tell me their parents had Kamados with rotisserries on them. -
Very good job Richard!
