Where is the best place to order a Tel-Tru temp Gage for my LrBGE. I called Tel-Tru and was advised to call a dist.

I called a while ago and the 5" stem was back-ordered. I really think this forum gets inside sales at TelTru higher than they are used to. A dealer will most likely have the same price. I just checked the door step and my 3 new ones aren't here yet. Not a problem cause the beef ribs smell and look outa control. :woohoo:

While on the subject I thought I would check the old stock BGE therm again. FYI it will be the third time in the 7-8 months I've had it. It's in my small with a fat short rack of beef ribs. (my first crack at these) Well I have had it pegged at 250 since 9 am. Come to realize the actual dome temp measured with the thermapen is 179* :ohmy: Better too low than too high I guess. I'm gonna trash these damn things just as soon as I see the new ones.

These stock P'sOS are my only complaint with BGE. I have to believe the folks at TelTru wouldn't have a problem making some with neat little pictures of the egg on them.
