Food Saver Gasket Replacement

For the last few times using my Food Saver Pro, I've had problems with it getting the air out of the bag. I ordered a new lower gasket maybe four weeks ago and just replaced it today. Man what a difference! I really wasn't sure which to order because there are several models and I thought perhaps I ordered incorrectly. My guess must have been correct because it is the same size and works like a champ.

I had a similiar problem 3 months back. Called the hot line and they told me to buy the replacement gasket and in the mean time put pressure on thew lid with my hand while it is in the vacuum phase. so far I have not replaced the gasket, but have it handy.

Richard, if you go ahead and replace that gasket, you won't have to hold down the lid anymore. It will work as new. For three dollars, who can complain?

They charged me $12, so I will keep holding until it no longer works.
