Had a powerfull craving!

Couple of days ago while heading West to the far terminal, I came down with a powerfull craving for burnt ends like I had last Oct. at Jack Stacks BBQ in KC.
Made it to the closest BBQ joint (Whiskey Creek) and NO burnt ends on the menu.
Soooooooo all the way back home I kept thinking about my craving. Got to the local grocery store 10 minutes before they closed and brought a whole brisket. First time I might add since owning my egg. :ermm:

Did some minimal triming, rub down with DP Dizzy Dust & Jim Baldersons (made in North Platte, NE!).
On the egg last night at 8pm.

Pulled this afternoon and separated the point from the flat. Cut up point with bark as much as possible to get my long awaited BE's!

Not as good as Jack Stack's but still good enough for who it's for! :cheer:

I said to my wife, 'Where do you want to go for our anniversary?' She said, 'I want to go somewhere I've never been before.' I said, 'Try the kitchen.'

Looks good from here! Nothing worse than being on a train with no egg food. No egg at the oak tree inn and can't turn your phone on while you are at work to look at pictures of food porn :pinch:

  • Looks great. How is the DD on beef? I have only had it on pork - love it. Does the sweetness come through on beef as well?
