we call it a "bubblah" in new england. sounds a bit different, but i knew what you were talkin about.
do you know what "bankins" are? -
No I don't. What are they?
-
Tim,
I'm not sure if Rod meant bleach, like a really mild dilution or if he meant blanch.

its just strange in newyork  i ordered up a pepperoni pizza once and they wanted to know if that was with cheesefukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it
-
Steve, Maybe we can get him to elaborate on that.
-
I meant bleach, as in the chlorine based stuff used to disinfect. I also meant it as a joke.
Hopefully no one would bleach their food. -
Wisconsin eh?
Don't forget the stop-n-go or the time machines. -
Ther's nothing wrong with that. We had a root cellar growing up as well.
The problem is when the exterior skin is kept airtight - such as tightly wrapped in foil. That is when the bacteria reproduce in the anaerobic environment and create the botulism toxin, which while it should not be ingested, oddly enough people choose to inject under their skin to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Go figure. -
  Stop and Go on almost every corner.
Hey Rod, Have you heard the HD York plant may move to somewhere in Kentucky. Tim -
bankins are the things the snow plow leaves on the side-ah the road.
snow banks=snow bankings=snow "bankins"
as kids, we'd have a wicked pissah time playin onna snow bankins or makin a pissah snow foht inna snow bankins -

good lord, the "sense of humor" quotient on this forum is at an all time low.
you know, years from now people will say "remember that time rod suggested bleach?"
hahaha
you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make that horse detect irony -
I already bookmarked it

remember the guy who asked what everyone thought about his mistake with hydrogen peroxide? he'd poured hydrogen peroxide on his brisket for some reason, thinking it was water (dunno why you'd pour water on it either).
everyone was up in arms telling him to toss it, which he did.
on of the oddest forum moments i can remember -
I do remember that thread and caused me to do the unusual (for me
) and look it up which led to this site http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/h/hydrogen-peroxide.htm but now since I have the access I can't wait to try the chlorine on the wings tonight :woohoo:
It's a joke folks :cheer: :cheer: -
stripsteak, What did you call the chunks of snowy ice that fell off a car or truck from the mud flaps? I can't say out loud.
-
That Rod! I knew he was up to something! I almost come back that I had dipped some potato's in bleach and rolled them in salt and wrapped them in foil!
Steve he was inching along trying to keep it going!  -
yeah
it was perfectly safe.
but there were choruses of "when in doubt" and dire warnings
i just remember thinking "what the heck was he doing with hydrogen peroxide anyway?"
