Got an email from fred today, the guy who has a bit of Boston-Area fame for cooking on an XL BGE serving chourico, kielbasa, linguica and the inFamous Pearl's hot dogs (reg and jumbo). Cooks them over WGC with cherry smoke.

great stuff.

he's selling gift certificates, believe it or not. here's the info. would have been perfect for Sundown's secret santa gift.

    LOL, You've got me drooling now. When I lived near Plymouth I loved the linguica. Every summer at the Portuguese Festival we would eat our selves into oblivion and think we had died and gone to heaven.

    I'm going to have to look, I used to be able to get one of the New Bedford brands down here at Publix. I think I feel a feast coming on. A top split hot dog bun grilled with butter and a little yellow mustard . . . YUM!!! I feel sorry for those who have never indulged.

    fred started an email list, and apparently he's been getting a LOT more business just by letting folks know he's open with a quick email. the schedule is spotty, weather wise, so he's found great luck just emailing everyone that he's "open today and tomorrow".

    as for the fabled moby **** of pick-up trucks... you should be very honored that he showed. he's been invited every time and the only time he showed was when the legendary fidel was going to be there.

    we also told him there was beer though, so that coulda been it too
