5 inch good enough for the turkey?
good....
thx -
not as nice as yours!
yours are beautiful
in truth, i use the paring, chef's, and steak knives most.
bread slicer too (we always have bread here). -
You know you've accomplished something when you are almost DQ'd for being so good! I really loved the degree of shading and tonal qualities this years had. The way you handled details to the foreground, mid-ground and back ground was brilliant. Right down to the lightening outside the windows. A true work of art! I hope I get to see next years.

you sound like you really got into it. if you want, i can send it to you now. let me know!

I could be WRONG but I do not think Viking EVER made true institutional products with that said another company called Vulcan did and still does and they are mighty fine products.
-
you might be right.
might have been that viking only produced the pseudo-real commercial-looking stoves designed for residences, based on the other truly commercial stuff by vulcan and other makes. -
Hi stripsteak,
I appreciate good art work and art work that is as transitory as a pumpkin is pretty darn cool. It's like a ice, snow or sand sculpture that is here today and gone tomorrow. Transitory art is a gift that has to be appreciated now. Your depiction of Frankenstein's Lab was spot on, Mary Shelley would have loved it. I guess I did get into it. LOL.

Great photo and nice arch! I wish my Dad had had time to kick back like that. LOL, his idea of a good time was cutting and splitting firewood, so that's what we did. Not all the time but a lot of it.
Check out this site for the American Sandsculpting Championship and Beach Festival on Fort Myers Beach. I bet the boys would love to see that. Next year I may have to brave the crowds and attend, some of the work they do is outstanding. Maybe that should be the "American Sandsculpting Championship, Beach Festival and Sunshine State Eggfest". LOL, Now that would be a week to remember. :woohoo:
