Moink/Thaw or not

I've read several post on Moink Balls, some say thaw, others say nuke for 30 to 40 seconds.
What say y'all?

IMO...No need to thaw....by the time you get em wrapped in the bacon, they are thawed anyways..... :laugh: I actually prefer them still a bit frozen, because I like my bacon crispy before it hits the sauce...but that's just me, but I am NOOO Moinkball expert!!!! :blink: Liking that Shun???

Thanks for the input, what temp. are using and direct or indirect? Most that I've seen have been indirect.
Thinking about it, when I make ABT boats, I only turn the grid a time or two but not the ABT's, do you turn your Moinks??? Not how careful I worded that?

Shun is awsome, the boning knife should be here Friday.

Bordello...I have to confess...we've only made Moinks once or twice....and we used raised grid direct. (Its a bacon thing here...lol...gotta give the bacon a chance to crisp!!) I am sure you will get more input tomorrow...but for us...it was raised direct...but we were probably wrong.... :laugh:
I do believe we had to replace the toothpics to make them finger foods again...lol....but the bacon was crisp! 
And BTW IMO...that was the best $15 you spent returning those big expensive knives.....you will be SOO much happier with the boning knife!! You will use it ALL the time.
Those 10" Chefs are beauties....but really...how much sharp steel do you need on a board at one time?? If you change your mind....I'll send you mine....lol. Only used once! LOL -
Well now, returning those just kinda might have had something to do with the advice I got from you.

I'll keep you in mind if I should change my mind but I doubt it.
Do you get a lot of smoke when doing ABT's and the Moinks direct? When I did the ABT's indirect but some grease did hit the lump and I was worried about the smoke but it didn't seem to bother the girls. :woohoo:
I didn't get any so don't know.
