Charcoal in Nova Scotia, Canada

Hi,

I'm new to posting, so please bear with me.

I'm going out to Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Canada for Christmas. My brother-in-law has a Large Green Egg and can't find any charcoal at this time of year.

Does anyone know where he buy Charcoal in an around the area from Antigonish to Halifax, Nova Scotia?

Or, websites where he can order it and they'll ship out to him?

Canadian Tire has Royal Oak all year (but you have to ask for it sometimes)
Rona has Maple Leaf.
Walmart usually has it.
mikeb6109 could probably help you out if he stops by tonight.
Home Hardware carries Maple Leaf as well but they sometimes run out.
This is Ontario info but I think it is the same across the country.

my brother lives in Halifax and i believe he keeps a half decent stash at his place.PLus he will be coming up for xmas and he will grab more from me then to re stock! I will ask him if he can spare some for you.

I emailed my brother in Halifax and this is what he told me....

"mike paderno in bayers lake sells them! I only have half of bag left! Walmart still has some in bayers lake"

Thanks to everyone who replied to my post.

I actually tried looking up the BGE dealers in Nova Scotia and just called them up.

I was able to find one near the Halifax area that has a few bags of BGE lump charcoal.

Welcome to the forum. You might try calling Royal Oak and ask them where to buy their lump charcoal in that area. The number is (678) 461-3200.

Maple Leaf is a Canadian brand that is very popular, not sold in the US. The Naked Whiz has a phone number for them under his review. I would try calling them also.

The local Home Hardware can order you Maple Leaf lump. Usually two or three days delivery if they do not have it in stock.

Sparkling Pools in Dartmouth carries Basques Nature's Own Natural Lump year round too. You can get Maple Leaf at RONA as well.

I would stick with Maple leaf if you can. The qaulity is 10x that of Royal Oak. (Royal Oak has a harsh smell when lighting and creates more ash than Maple Leaf.)

Rona has Maple leaf , Canadian tire Royal Oak, Sysco and sparkling pools has Basque, and I can get you some argentina lump they blue restaurant bags that Freds music carries. oops forgot to say that we have now travel in time and we are now 2011 lol!
