More Sierra Madre mountains near home....

We spent the weekend doing the "touristy" things around Chattanooga - Incline Railway, Rock City, and Ruby Falls. These venues were actually quite nice, not cheesy as I feared. Here are some pictures from inside of Ruby Falls Cave:

Hey Roudy that is nice. We live in middle Tn. clost to Mamouth Cave and it is sopose to be the longest cave in the world. Something like 300 plus miles! I have been in it twice. Sorry no pic's :( Tim

Thanks Beli, my timing was lucky. I was in the right place at the right time and had the camera on the car seat beside me.

Great shot my friend, that is some rugged country! Around here is just the opposite, flat as a pancake. The highest point here is the top of a local bridge.

Great shots Roudy, thats an interesting looking cave. I need to add that one to my very long list of things to see and do.

Beli, Here is our Philodendron plant. I rescued it from a dumpster outside the nursing home where Cindy's mother use to live. That was over five years ago and who knows how long the nursing home had it. You can't kill it but I do cut the leaves back from time to time. I roll it in the garage for the winter and It hardly ever needs water. I seen one that was over eight feet tall and ten feet wide in a office room. Tim

Very nice Tim, you know, they keep putting out new shoots all around them & the aerial roots will need more space to land eventually.

Our family camped at Mammoth Cave about ten years ago on July 4th weekend. It was 95+ in the shade and high humidity. My youngest daughter (about three at the time) got heat exhaustion and she and her mother got to spend the night in an air conditioned hotel room while I sweated in the tent with our older daughter. :pinch: Needless to say we spent much of our daylight hours touring the cave as the constant 60 degrees sure felt better.

Gator - here's a sunrise to balance out your beautiful sunset. Sunrise as viewed from Tusquittee Bald in the NC mountains, taken 11/21/2009.
