Just to break the monotony of all those turkeys, I thought I'd post a pic of breakfast (pork sausage) on the Mini...

  • Nice - now I will have to leave the office and go get a breakfast taco. B)

HC - How have you managed to keep your gasket in place on your mini? Mine fell off on the second cook - my son's fell of on the first cook and may others have posted similar experience. :ermm:
  • Wouldn't you know, it's a replacement gasket. The original half fell off, mid cook, dropping charred bits all over the place. I ripped it off and kept cooking, sans gasket. Bought a replacement gasket from the dealer, cleaned the rim extra-carefully with acetone, and stuck the new one on. It's holding so far. After installation, I did leave it closed for about two weeks. (No, I'm not patient, I was out of town.)

I haven't replaced the (badly charred) gasket on my large; it isn't leaking smoke. When it does go leaky, I'll look for Nomex or something else more durable than the felt...I like to get both Eggs screamin' hot for pizza.
