Damp charcoal?

An almost new bag of BGE charcoal was in a light rain for about 30 seconds Wednesday night.
When I grabbed it there were lot of distinct water spots on the side that faced the rain... it was not saturated but had spots between a dime and a quarter big.
I took it into the garage and dried the dampness off with a cotton towel.
Do you suppose the charcoal will be good for steaks tomorrow night?

you'll be fine - after all lump is pure carbon not a cotton ball!Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time

Should be fine to use. What you need is an 18 gallon rubbermaid container to keep your charcoal in. This will hold one full bag of charcoal, and also keep it nice and dry. Get a green one to match the Egg.

Of course... so long as only a little lights and makes embers the heat will dry the rest... if you have any trouble (you won't) use a hair dryer to blow air through the lower vent... with the screen closed of course and your face looking somewhere else hehehe....

Thanks to all... I am satisfactorily confident, and will not worry about getting new charcoal for tomorrow.
