the problem for you is that since the ceramic is such a good insulator, the outside of the egg never gets hot enough to radiate a significant amount of heat.

If you do, the egg police will whip you with a wet noodle and confiscate your egg for negligence and abuse!You will also be cited for wanton waste of lump charcoal which carries severe penalties.Buy a firepit or some other type heat source!If you fire up your egg for any purpose other than cooking food or doing a "clean burn",well,I'll just say 'I would'nt wanna be YOU!!!
