After burning seasonings in the past, I only put salt on my steaks before a TRx sear. During the 15-20 min. rest between the sear and the roast, I add whatever seasoning I desire. Works pretty good for us!

Thanks, Clark. That's what I figured. I haven't TRex'd yet with fresh herbs so I wanted to check before I ruined one.
